Join the House of La Touche choir and historian Peter Ashan for this unique Windrush Day partnership, pairing song and discussion.
Peter will be presenting a Windrush talk plus Q&A, bookended by songs from the wonderful House of La Touche choir, including gospel, RnB, pop and contemporary classics.
Peter Ashan, educator, historian and author, will be talking about his experiences of growing up in Waltham Forest as a child of Windrush parents and about his book Freedom Walk: The Roots of Diversity in Waltham Forest which looks at the development of Waltham Forest into the multi-ethnic multi-faith community it is today. Peter will be also signing copies of his book ‘Freedom Walk The Roots of Diversity in Waltham Forest’.
